The heart of SuSuSound Studio is multifaceted: First, we are dedicated to working with established musicians desiring a secluded, professional studio in which to focus on their craft. Second, we are committed to fostering the growth of emerging artists who might not have the means (or access to) larger, more metropolitan recording studios. Third, we look forward to visitors meeting beloved studio mascot, Charley, who is happy to provide good vibes and tail wags all around.

SuSu Sound Studio is honored to have been included as a finalist for the 39th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards for the Outstanding Studio Design Project Achievement category. The NAMM TEC Awards celebrate the pro audio community by recognizing the individuals, companies, and technical innovations behind today’s sound recordings, live performances, films, television, video games, and other media.

SuSuSound studio is located in a private northern Michigan setting on a beautiful inland lake. The property is accessed by a private lane and sits adjacent to a large forested conservation easement which adds to the studio’s feel of seclusion and view of the water. This aura is complimented by top of the line recording and mixing equipment, professional acoustics, in a comfortable space for collaborating and focusing on the music.

The studio was designed by Haverstick Designs with audio elements designed and installed by Jason Carson and provided by Vintage King Audio.
